This 2021 dated, second release of the series is an homage to The Werewolf. Tales of men who morph into predatory wolf-like creatures by the incandescence of a full moon can be traced back to Europe's Middle Ages. These 2021 The Werewolf bullion coins are struck from 2 Troy oz.

The coins measures an impressive 38mm in diameter. The coins are minted with a sensational Brilliant Uncirculated finish. In Canada, the coins are considered to be legal tender for ten dollars.

The reverse features a small double maple leaf security mark, which is micro-engraved with the coin's two digit date of issue 21. Magnificently Detailed Creature of Legend. Obverse: The obverse is graced with the right facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The queen's likeness is contrasted against a radial line patterned security field, which contains the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II, " "2021, " D. This portrait of the monarch, designed by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt, has appeared on Canadian coinage since 2003.

Reverse: The reverse depicts a werewolf emerging from a dense forest as the full moon hovers above. The creature is reaching forward with razor sharp claws as it opens its jaws to emit a menacing howl. The maple leaf security mark is located over the werewolf's shoulder. Inscriptions include "CANADA" and "FINE SILVER 2 OZ ARGENT PUR, " with the coin's purity "9999" located in the foliage at right.
